The Customer Service Representative at our agency is responsible for maintaining solid customer relationships by handling customer inquiries and concerns with speed and professionalism through daily interaction with customers, insurance carriers, and fellow employees while conducting specific service and marketing activities.

We are currently looking for someone to work Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. But this could lead to a full time position in the future. 
 
Responsibilities
  • Answering customer calls and correspondence regarding new or existing insurance policies. 
  • Providing service to new and existing clients related to updating policy information, taking payments, and answering their questions.
  • Gathering necessary data for new and existing clients, including, but not limited to, ordering Loss Runs and MVR's.
  • Providing documentation to clients, including, but not limited to Certificates of Insurance.  
  • Quoting new business on the platforms provided by the insurance companies we work with. 
  • Helping in servicing and reporting of claims. 
  • Resolving product or service issues by clarifying the customer's concern, determining the cause of the issue, selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the issue, expediting correction or adjustment, and following up to ensure resolution.
  • Reviewing audits or policies; verify accuracy and facilitate corrections, as needed, between client and carrier.
  • Collaborate with team members, mentor staff, provide expertise and answer questions, and participate in formal and informal meetings as needed.
  • Creating and updating proposals and other documents in Microsoft Word and Excel. 
Qualifications
  • Holding an Illinois Property and Casualty insurance license.
  • Have a minimum of three years of commercial lines insurance account experience.
  • Demonstrating strong knowledge of insurance products, rating procedures, underwriting procedures, coverages, and industry operations to effectively manage, maintain, and write assigned clients and prospects.
  • Demonstrate strong customer focus and an excellent phone manner.
  • Display strong written and verbal communication skills as well as excellent math and reading skills to perform calculations.
  • Possessing a sense of urgency, attention to detail, organization, multi-tasking, and follow-up skills.
  • Have excellent time management skills with a personal accountability mindset as well as technology and computer proficiency.
  • Being proficient in Microsoft Office 365 including Word and Excel.
  • Experience with Applied TAM, and the quoting platforms of Auto-Owners, EMC, The Hartford, Liberty Mutual, and/or Progressive.
