CFC Insurance is an independent Insurance Agency. We specialize in Property, Casualty, Life, and Health insurance coverage, and have proudly been serving the insurance needs of Central Illinois since 1958. CFC is looking for a Customer Service Representative to serve the needs of current and prospective customers, input data into various platforms, process payments, and perform various accounting and administrative duties.

 SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Answers telephone calls in a prompt, efficient, and professional manner; and provides assistance and support to the client (i.e. processing of claims, documentation, resolution of inquiries and/or concerns)  
  • Performs administrative functions for the agency following company standard operating procedures
  • Retrieves and downloads new business inquiries, renewals, cancellations, et from the agency management system; and follows up with the request promptly, efficiently, and professionally 
  • Logs detailed client interaction notes into the agency management system; and performs ongoing file maintenance and back up procedures 
  • Prospects and builds relationships with new and existing clients, discusses their insurance needs, and provides them with detailed information regarding agency products 
  • Supports and assists Insurance Agents as requested 
  • Stays abreast of industry trends, legislation, technology, and competition marketing movements  
  • Performs other duties as assigned   | education &/or work experience requirements
 EDUCATION &/OR WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
A bachelor degree in business, accounting, finance; OR a minimum of 2 years administrative experience in an office setting.   

MENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to sit/stand/kneel/bend/for extended periods of time, lift up to 20 lbs. occasionally, strong listening and developed interpersonal skills, ability to work under high pressure while remaining composed. Attention to detail is critical to this position; along with organization, prioritization, and time management skills.

COMPETENCIES:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, QuickBooks, basic principles of accounting and reconciliation, presentation skills, relationship building, self-motivation, ability to work independently, and knowledge of marketing techniques. Problem solving skills and analysis is helpful.

Base Salary + Bonus Potential.  

 
Compensation: $38,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
